Sometimes, you need to be adventurous in the kitchen. But maybe you don’t always feel like looking up and following an entire recipe, so you just start dipping things in melted chocolate against your better judgment.

1. Marshmallows

Dipping marshmallows in chocolate sounds divine. It was not divine in practice. There was a lot of sweetness without anything to counter it, and it was a little overwhelming. Score: 6/10.

2. Popcorn

Popcorn and chocolate are a combination that sits in that bullseye of salty and sweet. That perfectly popped popcorn mixes with that delicious chocolate, and a beautiful child is born. Score: 9/10.

3. Bananas

Bananas dipped in chocolate are pretty good. If you aren’t a super fan of bananas, dipping them in chocolate might help you get some of that delicious potassium. Score: 7/10.

4. Cheetos

Everyone does things they aren’t proud of. Dipping Cheetos in chocolate is one of those things. However, it honestly wasn’t that bad. Cheetos dipped in white chocolate were acceptable. Don’t dip them in milk chocolate. Just don’t. White Chocolate: 6/10. Milk Chocolate: 1/10.

5. Doritos (Nacho Cheese)

This was a bad experience that no one should ever have to go through. End of discussion. Score: 2/10.

6. Doritos (Cool Ranch)

Cool Ranch Doritos dipped in chocolate were a completely different experience than Nacho Cheese Doritos, so they got a separate entry on this list. Texturally, this combo was terrible. Absolutely detestable. However, as far as taste is concerned, if you need a means of shoveling white chocolate into your mouth, Cool Ranch Doritos will do the trick. White Chocolate: 4/10. Milk Chocolate: 2/10.

During the experimentation phase of this article, someone dipped an ice cube in the melted chocolate, and it didn’t end well. The tester gave the experience a -2/10.
