9 movies to watch on Netflix this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is almost here! Whether you are looking forward to it or dreading it, the heart-shaped candy boxes and teddy bears are unavoidable. No matter what your relationship status is, spend your Valentine’s Day with Netflix this year.

Here are three categories of movies to watch with your friends, your boo or by yourself. Settle in with as much cheap chocolate you can consume and enjoy your V-Day.

Movies to watch with friends

Maybe this year you are spending your Valentine’s Day with your best buds. If so, here are three great movies to watch with friends! Pop some popcorn and grab the chocolate and you’re all set.

“To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”

A Netflix original based on a book, this story follows a high school girl who’s secret love letters get mailed to her crushes. Watch this movie and relive high school drama and romances.

“The Kissing Booth”

Another Netflix original about high school romance, this movie is super cute to watch with friends.

“The Break-Up”

A classic rom-com featuring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, honestly what could be better?

Movies to watch with your boo

If you are spending your Valentine’s Day with your significant other, staying in and watching a movie is a great idea. Cook a meal together and settle in to watch one of these romantic movies.

“Before We Go”

Two strangers meet in New York, and one of them is Chris Evans. Need I say more?

If your significant other is not that into romantic movies, a good rom-com may make them forget that they are watching a romance movie. Also, it’s Jennifer Lopez.

“The Graduate”

Honestly, I wouldn’t consider this a romantic movie, but Netflix said it was and it is a classic! If you’ve never seen this, do yourself a favor and watch it, like now.

Movies to watch by yourself

Valentine’s Day is all about love, and that can include self-love. If you’ve been extra stressed take the day to focus on yourself. Put on a face mask, light a candle and watch one of these great movies.

“One Day”

I discovered this on Netflix several years ago, and it is one of my favorite movies! Any movie with Anne Hathaway is great in my opinion, but fair warning, you will need tissues.

“The Duchess”

There is nothing I love more than a good Victorian drama, and what is a Victorian drama without Kiera Knightly?

“Mamma Mia”

Any excuse I can find to watch Mamma Mia, I will. Don’t forget that you’re the dancing queen!

No matter how you celebrate Valentine’s Day, keep these great movies on Netflix in mind! What are your favorite romantic movies?
